Notes
What the world needs now is love. In April 2020 young writers around the world were set a hopepunk writing challenge to craft a message of hope for the COVID era from someone living in 2050.The stories and poems collected in this anthology are creative responses to that challenge. It's impossible to read them without being uplifted by their optimism. The authors are all aged between 13 and 18 years old. They come from 10 different countries, and eleven of them speak a language other than English at home. What they share is a dream of a kinder future, and a belief that we can solve any crisis, if only we set aside our differences, celebrate our shared humanity and work together to make the world a better place for everyone.Introducing Lowlwa Alshamekh, Beatriz Cordeiro, Ife Danso, Vivian Estequi, Muskan Fatima, Harshita, Sumit Imran, Raisa Karim, C.S. Kim, Solomane M. Kromah, Jemma Paton, Raegeane, Abbas Raza, Rishika Shinde, Bryzlyn Sin, Ritika Singhal, and Coco Wu. Weep, laugh and feel uplifted by the hopeful visions of tomorrow's leaders.
