Notes
One day, in the year 1327, four children - a thief, a bully, a genius and a girl who wants to be a doctor - slip away from the cathedral city of Kingsbridge into the forest, where they see two men killed. As adults they will see great change: prosperity and famine, plague and war. One boy will travel the world; the other will become powerful and corrupt. One girl will defy the power of the church; the other will pursue an impossible love. But they will always live under the shadow of the killings in the forest.
