River's life is blown apart at a local football match when he spots Max, a boy so like him he could be his brother. Max's mum deflects his questions, too busy with her campaigns and her new boyfriend Felix. River sets out to find out the truth for himself, and in the process uncovers a terrible deception. His father is an undercover police officer, sent to infiltrate his mum's environmental group, and he is Max's father too - in his real identity.
