Roman army officers Macro and Cato are on their most dangerous mission yet. In the first century AD the Roman Empire and its long-standing enemy Parthia are battling for control of Palmyra, a neutral kingdom. Palmyra is on the brink of revolution, and a task force under Macro and Cato is dispatched to defend its king and guard its borders. When Parthia hears of this, it prepares for war. Macro's cohort must march against the enemy, deep into treacherous territory. Victory is vital for the future peace of the empire.
